How to be invited back…

So you got on to a radio show or podcast to promote yourself, your product, your service or your expertise. Make the most out of it and make it a situation where they will invite you back.

How to be invited back. Think long term.

When you showcase that you not only know your stuff but that you make for a strong, professional guest, more hosts and shows will want to have your information on hand. Remember, it is their show and while you are looking for the opportunity to gain exposure to more people, take the right steps for the long term.

Don’t just try to sell and point the message at yourself. Think as if you were the host. Cross promote, don’t interrupt and stay aware of your volume, your pace, and your voice.

Make that show that much better.

When you’re performing in a way as a guest and highlighting the host, the show, and the topics, you will stand out beyond so many others. Help to make that show better and that show and its host will give you more time and want you back that much more often. This, in turn, allows your name, your brand and your brand messaging to be heard that much more.

Give em the swag!

Give them coffee cups, water bottles,  shot glasses, lighters, coasters and tee shirts. Let them remember you even when you aren’t there. Do you see a theme of products or fun items hanging in the studio, have one made for them!!!!

Leave them with your interview information sheet, so they know what else you can talk about too!

Take the initiative to be the person that they want back. Make yourself remembered and memorable. The assertive steps to help a show in order to help build your exposure will help you maintain that many more contacts and build up that many more opportunities to shine and be heard.
