Authorship does not equal authority
Lead with the authority and not the accolades or the popularity of listing your self as an author. Focusing on a product to hype over the profession you are in, the elements you have brought to the book and the authenticity of your message may keep you from connecting the way you want to.
Building a humble foundation that shows the book as an embellishment or a supplement to you can help you be seen for much more. Especially in a day when so many are publishing books that are razor thin, double spaced and have no authority what so ever.
Consider that a book is not gong to convince people you are an expert and that it is more about what is in that book that makes the difference.
