How do you create a solid pitch for those that have heard it before?
In networking groups that allow for pitches, a problem that keeps pitches from being solid or effective is that they are thrown the same way, over and over again. Many of the people in these groups have heard the same message and in turn, they shut it off and shut it out.
With tweaks, alterations, changes in focus, in tone and in humor, it can keep people that have heard it before, listening for something new.
How do you create a solid pitch?
In the end, while working up to a series of different pitches and constantly adding, subtracting, editing and improvising, it will help you represent your business and brand in the best way.
Take the time to work on those pitches. Time yourself, test them on other people. Look for reactions, critiques, and feedback. The more pitches you create, the more comfortable you will be able to present them and the more engaged you can be with those that have never heard of you and those that have heard you many times before.
