Vetted and true charity organizations can be hard to find but many are out there doing the right thing, the right way. The problem is that there are so many more that are not and even to a point, keeping people away from the good ones.
The keywords are vetted and true when it comes to connecting and donating.

It starts with the vetting.
Take the time to take a simple dig to see if they are truly doing what they claim and putting the money where it s suppose to go. And if you find yourself having trouble finding this to be true with a simple dig, then this might be a charity to pass on and pass by.
Even if it is a new charity, many will be tied to already established groups. Look for the paper trail online beyond their website or social media posts.
And when it comes to crowdfunding campaigns, this is a risk. Even more so if it is a stranger. Be very careful giving in that area. Also, in many cases, you will not get the tax write off if you are looking for that.
Again, it comes down to vetting. To examining if what is being claimed on their sites, through their media and their marketing can be found on state, federal and compliance sites.
Look before you leap and vet before you give.
