Stewarding strategic solutions by listening first

Conversations and debates where both people are as as passionate and prepared to share their views as they are to listen and hear some one with differing views and information, can create greater change than just screaming, insulting and attacking.

Are you ready to hear another side as much as you want your side to be heard?

Can you steward a conversation strategically and effectively to get your point, your views, your opinions and the facts you can prove across to another?

At the same time, are you ready to listen?

From business to protests to relationships and beyond, many are screaming what they want, what they need and what they require, yet in not allowing for conversations to be shared with two way communication.

A quote graphic with trees, a lake and sky in the distance as well as a blue circle and a quote in white text in the center that reads "As challenging as it can be from businesses to relationships to anything else, if we ground ourselves in the respect to hear the other side, differentiate our opinion from proven and vetted facts, while remove the insulting and attacking elements, we can create impactful conversations of change."
“As challenging as it can be from businesses to relationships to anything else, if we ground ourselves in the respect to hear the other side, differentiate our opinion from proven and vetted facts, while remove the insulting and attacking elements, we can create impactful conversations of change.”

Then in adding the attacks, the insults, and the one sided elements, it is not surprising that many of these conversations are not creating the change.

If we can move to listening as much as we speak and taking into consideration that it might not be the most effective approach to insult and belittle the same people you are asking for help from, conversations can be that much more impactful.

“As challenging as it can be from businesses to relationships to anything else, if we ground ourselves in the respect to hear the other side, differentiate our opinion from proven and vetted facts, while remove the insulting and attacking elements, we can create impactful conversations of change.”
